Marriages takes place with the Animals

Meeting that special someone, falling head over heels in love and then spending the majority of you life blissfully married is a sequence of events that many people hope to experience; however, as we should all know by now, such dreams are very often elusive for one reason or another and things sometimes don't go to plan. In fact, for some people around the globe, that special someone is actually something...

In June of 2003, an 11-year-old girl by the name of Karnamoni Handsa had no option but to marry one of the area's stray dogs in a ceremony attended by approximately 100 excited guests. Handsa, a resident of Khanyhan in India, reacted surprisingly well to the situation and said to news reporters at the time: "I have no regret in marrying the dog Bacchan. I am fond of the dog who moves around our locality". She had taken Bacchan's paw in marriage in order to ward off an evil spell that had previously caused a tooth to become painfully lodged in her upper gums.

Top 69 SEO Tips to Boost Your Search Engine Rankings

1. Content is always king. Providing users with fresh, unique content that is linkworthy is critical to your long term success in the chasm of the search engine world.
2. Use relevant keywords. Targeting keywords that nobody searches is a dead-end road. Take your topic and think like a person who wants more information on the topic. What string of words would best define his need and be the easiest to type in?
3. Create a sitemap. A well organized sitemap gives the search engine spiders a way to quickly and more efficiently scan and index all of your content.
4. Build your brand. Aesthetics and typography (Blogussion does an incredible job at both) are now a huge deal in the internet world. Create an identifiable logo and blog layout that is memorable. If it looks pleasant to the eyes, it will be much more prone to gaining a quality backlink.

Collapse of World Trade Center 2001

Collapse of World Trade Center 2001
New York, 2001 - Collapse of south tower of World Trade Center.

Wish You Were Here

In the blessed sunrise -
I miss you most.
Sifting through the fragments,
of last night's fleeing dreams;
Reaching for remembrance
of your face.

In the scurry of mid-morn,
I miss you most.
With business besieging me;
this "octopus of answers",
is longing for the wisdom -
of your words.

In the blazing heat of noon,
I miss you most.
Breathing blessings upon bread,
that I long  to share with you.
I am grieving for the glory
of your grin.

Somewhere around three,
I miss you most.
With energy depleting,
and depression setting in,
I think about the thrill
of your embrace.

Jostled on the bus,
I miss you most.
With my body crushed
by strangers,
I am all alone with you.
Leaning on your shoulder,
in the Past.

Sunset is the time
I miss you most.
As darkness covers daytime,
my mind turns towards you,
Thinking of the shining
of your eyes.

As I wait for sleep to come,
I miss you most.
Tossing, in my lonely bed,
and feeling lost and sad,
I think about the
soothing of your touch.

Every moment of my day
I miss you most.
In chaos’ cruel cacophony,
I ache for peace and calm.
Wishing You would come -
and take me Home!

Student of RCA radically improves the UK plug

The RCA's(Royal College of Art) graduate show has opened, and this year, the show-stopper was a plug. Min-Kyu Choi impressed every passer by with his neat, apparently market-ready plug that folds down to the width of an Apple MacBook Air. "The MacBook Air is the world's thinnest laptop ever. However, here in the UK, we still use the world's biggest three-pin plug," says Choi.

Choi's plug is just 10mm wide when it is folded. To unfold it, the two live pins swivel 90 degrees, and the plastic surround folds back around the pins so the face of the plug looks the same as a standard UK plug. The idea produced a spin off, too. Choi created a multi-plug adaptor, a compact standard plug sized unit with space for three folded plugs to slot in, as well as one that charges USB devices.

It's so plausible and so obvious a product that it should produce a few red faces; how many more years were we going to attach our palm sized mobiles and wafer thin laptops to an object that's barely been touched since its first design in 1946? Choi picked an everyday product that most other designers find too mundane to dabble with and drastically improved it - exactly the kind of thinking that we should be celebrating right now.

An Hymn upon St. Bartholomew’s Day

WHAT powerful Spirit lives within!
What active Angel doth inhabit here!
What heavenly light inspires my skin,
Which doth so like a Deity appear!
A living Temple of all ages, I
Within me see
A Temple of Eternity!
All Kingdoms I descry
In me.

An inward Omnipresence here
Mysteriously like His within me stands,
Whose knowledge is a Sacred Sphere
That in itself at once includes all lands.
There is some Angel that within me can
Both talk and move,
And walk and fly and see and love,
A man on earth, a man
Above.

Dull walls of clay my Spirit leaves,
And in a foreign Kingdom doth appear,
This great Apostle it receives,
Admires His works and sees them, standing here,
Within myself from East to West I move
As if I were
At once a Cherubim and Sphere,
Or was at once above
And here.

The Soul’s a messenger whereby
Within our inward Temple we may be
Even like the very Deity
In all the parts of His Eternity.
O live within and leave unwieldy dross!
Flesh is but clay!
O fly my Soul and haste away
To Jesus’ Throne or Cross!
Obey!

Meiosis Backpack by Davidi Gilad

meiosis is made up of polygonal shapes creating a shell
all images courtesy of davidi gilad

Meiosis Backpack designed by Davidi Gilad, is an equipment bag which was developed to utilize
the physical properties of the elastic materials in which the bag is made. it is constructed from
rugged geometric polygonal shapes that harness the tension of the elastic fabrics, which is gained
by attaching the rugged parts to the while they are stretched on a frame. when released,
the geometric shapes prevent the fabrics from shrinking back, resulting in the bag's form and structure.
the tension and flexibility of the design maintains its shape while it is opened and closed.

Missing Cat named Missy

I am extremely emotional over this and was up all night in tears.
I am not a big fan of cats. I do not hate them, I just have no interest in them whatsoever. If I visit your house, I do not want to pat your cat, sit on the couch where it has been or have you make me a sandwich after patting it. I didn't want that sandwich anyway. The Maxwell house coffee was bad enough and when you smelt the milk to see if it was still ok, despite being a week past its use by date, I saw your nose touch the carton.

I actually rescued a cat once. I was walking across a bridge, over a river that was in flood, when I heard mewing and saw a frantic cat being pulled along. I picked up a fairly hefty branch and threw it over the rail to where the cat was. I did not see it after that but I am pretty sure it would have climbed on and ridden the branch over the next set of rapids and waterfall to safety.

Hi
I opened the screen door yesterday and my cat got out and has been missing since then so I was wondering if you are not to busy you could make a poster for me. It has to be A4 and I will photocopy it and put it around my suburb this afternoon.

This is the only photo of her I have she answers to the name Missy and is black and white and about 8 months old. missing on Harper street and my phone number.
Thanks Shan. From: David Thorne

Dear Shannon,
That is shocking news. Luckily I was sitting down when I read your email and not half way up a ladder or tree. How are you holding up? I am surprised you managed to attend work at all what with thinking about Missy out there cold, frightened and alone... possibly lying on the side of the road, her back legs squashed by a vehicle, calling out "Shannon, where are you?" Although I have two clients expecting completed work this afternoon, I will, of course, drop everything and do whatever it takes to facilitate the speedy return of Missy.
Regards, David.

Dear Shannon,
I never said I don't like cats. Once, having been invited to a party, I went clothes shopping beforehand and bought a pair of expensive G-Star boots. They were two sizes too small but I wanted them so badly I figured I could just wear them without socks and cut my toenails very short. As the party was only a few blocks from my place, I decided to walk. After the first block, I lost all feeling in my feet. Arriving at the party, I stumbled into a guy named Steven, spilling Malibu & coke onto his white Wham 'Choose Life' t-shirt, and he punched me. An hour or so after the incident, Steven sat down in a chair already occupied by a cat. The surprised cat clawed and snarled causing Steven to leap out of the chair, slip on a rug and strike his forehead onto the corner of a speaker; resulting in a two inch open gash. In its shock, the cat also defecated, leaving Steven with a wet brown stain down the back of his beige cargo pants. I liked that cat.
Attached poster as requested.
Regards, David.

Dear Shannon,
Having worked with designers for a few years now, I would have assumed you understood, despite our vague suggestions otherwise, we do not welcome constructive criticism. I don't come downstairs and tell you how to send text messages, log onto Facebook and look out of the window. I am willing to overlook this faux pas due to you no doubt being preoccupied with thoughts of Missy attempting to make her way home across busy intersections or being trapped in a drain as it slowly fills with water. I spent three days down a well once but that was just for fun.
I have amended and attached the poster as per your instructions.
Regards, David.

Dear Shannon,
I don't have a cat. I once agreed to look after a friend's cat for a week but after he dropped it off at my apartment and explained the concept of kitty litter, I kept the cat in a closed cardboard box in the shed and forgot about it. If I wanted to feed something and clean faeces, I wouldn't have put my mother in that home after her stroke. A week later, when my friend came to collect his cat, I pretended that I was not home and mailed the box to him. Apparently I failed to put enough stamps on the package and he had to collect it from the post office and pay eighteen dollars. He still goes on about that sometimes, people need to learn to let go.
I have attached the amended version of your poster as per your detailed instructions.
Regards, David.

I know, but that one is cute. As Missy has quite possibly met any one of several violent ends, it is possible you might get a better cat out of this. If anybody calls and says "I haven't seen your orange cat but I did find a black and white one with its hind legs run over by a car, do you want it?" you can politely decline and save yourself a costly veterinarian bill.
I knew someone who had a basset hound that had its hind legs removed after an accident and it had to walk around with one of those little buggies with wheels. If it had been my dog I would have asked for all its legs to be removed and replaced with wheels and had a remote control installed. I could charge neighbourhood kids for rides and enter it in races. If I did the same with a horse I could drive it to work. I would call it Steven.
